Young people do not seem to be as interested in driving as they used to be and this is actually down to many different reasons.
Drink
Drink does seem to be a big reason why these people are not intersted in driving and not in bad way. Many younger people, including myself, like to go out for a drink or two at their local or hit the clubs into the nigh and the point to be made here is, what is the point in driving? It does seem that if you are out to get drunk that driving is not something you will care about. It is against the law to drive home drunk, without the car there is no risk of this happening? It is the most sensible thing out there to do.
Money
A car along with the driving lessons will cost a lot of money, there is no doubt about that one, so it makes sense that people do not want to do it. It isn't just the lessons that they need to worry about, insurance and tax all add up too and it does get a bit silly so you can see why many people would want to spend their money elsewhere.
Easier To Walk
Walking and cycling is just as easy as getting in the car and driving down the road, it is good that many teens would prefer to just do this. Many people think that walking is a bit boring but it turns out that IPods have helped this a lot.
The Alternative
There is of course another option and it comes in the form of car leasing. This is often much cheaper than going to a manufacturers and even cheaper than getting a second hand car. You can even get bad credit car leasing and van leasing if you really wanted too.
One of the best ideas to take is to weigh out all of the options that are out there before you make the big decision. If you are leaving it for a few years, what does it really matter.
