2.0 Turbo Diesel Yeti Reviewed
Where Do You Live?
If it had to wear a label that could be “arrogant form”. Yeti is a point to compromise gave by Skoda, which has benefited greatly from the contribution of Volkswagen.
Some say that the Skoda Yeti uses the Skoda Octavia Scout platform, others say that is it quite inspired from the Volkswagen Golf, leaving us wondering what is the real purpose of this car?
In an analysis of form, Skoda Yeti, viewed from the side, is similar to a break with a glass surface height increasing, much like the old Subaru Forester models, before they become a genuine SUV. From the back it has a SUV shape, or rather a compact crossover. In fact, if we refer to a segment where we could fit it, we have a real problem. There does not seem to be a clear and obvious class for this ride.
With this shape and its size can Skoda Yeti be fitted in the same lever with Freelander, RAV4 or Defender, Patrol and Pajero? Because if it does not, we will be back to squire one : What did Skoda wanted to get from this vehicle ?
Response is indeed certifiable, but its not as potent yet as some may expect.
Thanks to all wheel drive system, Yeti will loose the roar in the combining of specific diesel engine and four-wheel drive that you love about Defender, Pajero or Patrol, but if fully gets over the comfort some other break cars offer. In some ways it is even similar to the Volkswagen Caddy, keeping in mind the dimensions and the nice interior space.
Although it’s a compact crossover, Skoda Yeti offers a spacious interior as well as functionalities you can find in a Tiguan. It is worth determining that interior is versattile thanks VarioFlex system, cargo space transform seemingly stingy, 460 liters in one absolutely OK, 1760 liters. Excel car of safety, thanks to the AWD system, ABS plant accessories and last but not least ESP standard. The test drive received a lot of airbags from the regular driver, passenger, side cushion, to that offered by premium brands, namely kneebag’s or driver’s knee pad.
